NEW DIRECTIONS

It's been a long time between posts! A long, long time ... and a lot has happened. We welcomed our beautiful Kari to our family. She has just turned 1, and is a walking, climbing little miss - loved and adored by us all. Life is busy ... with one at uni, two at high school, 2 at primary school and one at kindy 2 days a week and Kari at home, there is always someone to take somewhere, someone to pick up and things to do.

After 2 years at 3AS, I have decided to move on and set up my own on-line business. I've loved being on 3AS. It's been my second home for the last couple of years and I have met some great girls and have made some lovely cyber friends but the time has come to say good-bye.

SCRAPZ.BIZ is my new venture. The shop has opened and on August 1 we will be announcing SCRAP.BIZ's inaugural DT team and welcome our guest designer for August - the talented Kathy Link. Come and take a peek!

MINI CANVASES

Love the Tinkering Ink papers Jo and Rosy sent me from 3 Angels Scrapping this month so much that I decided to make them into mini canvases.

OTP PROJECTS, CONCERT REHEARSAL AND CAMP-OUT

It's been a hectic start to the school holidays. On Saturday night we had the September Cyber Crop at 3 Angels Scrapping. Here are my samples for the three projects. The instructions are on site if you are interested. Ccseptchallenge1rani

And a boy version of the frame. Ccseptchallenge1toby

a little felt album. Ccseptchallenge2birdi Ccseptchallenge2butte

And the last challenge a quick little handbag. Ccseptchallenge3birdi

Yesterday we had a birthday party, followed by the ballet concert rehearsal and Toby having some friends over for a camp-out in our backyard. The boys all seemed to have a great time and didn't stay up too late. I haven't had a chance to download the photos yet.

I'm hoping to catch up on Rhonna's 21 Challenge. Life's too busy at the moment.

Here's my layout for the DT sewing challenge at 3 Angels Scrapping. I sewed across the title to convey movement and tumbling. Hope you are all having a great week-end. :)

3 ANGEL CYBER CROP

Just a reminder that our September Cyber Crop at 3 Angel Scrapping is on tomorrow night at 7.30 pm. Make sure you come and say "hello" in the chat room to be in the draw for a set of Heidi Swapp Alphabet Foam stamps. Jo and Rosy will also be giving away some gorgeous prizes for just completing  the challenges and the winning entries. You'll have until Tuesday midnight to submit your entries.

There are going to be 3 challenges. Here is a quick summary of what you'll need:

Challenge 1: For our first challenge you will need an A4 size piece of sturdy chipboard. Everything else you should have in your stash. You might like to do some stitching and you will need a good stapler.

Challenge 2: For challenge 2 you will need: 2 12x12 page protectors,
2 28x16 cm pieces of felt (either the same colour or matching) and
a sewing machine. Everything else you should have in your stash.

Challenge 3: The last challenge will see you go all out in style. All that is needed is a 12x12 piece of cardstock or good quality patterned paper (eg. Crate, Basic Grey).

Hope to see you there!

I'll be posting my next couple of pages of my journal  soon, I've been a bit snowed under with preparing samples for the CC and our weekly DT assignment which will go into the gallery tomorrow. :)

CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

It always amazes me what you remember about what your childhood. It's funny little things that stick in your mind, like the time just before Easter when my sister  and I, aged 3 and 2,threw 3 dozen eggs against my parents' bedroom mirror and thought it was absolutely hilarious. I really enjoyed journaling about my childhood. Thankyou Rhonna for this great challenge. I'm trying to get to everybody's blog, there is so much talent around. Childhoodmemories
