At 16 months Mali's favourite song is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". She just loves it and knows all the actions. Too cute!

Today was Choral Fanfare. What an acoustic treat!

Miss Zazi sang in the MR Junior Ensemble which won a silver medal. She was sooo excited as it was her very first public performance. Toby in the Senior Ensemble won Gold and they are now off to Brisbane to represent our region at the next level.

Otherwise today has been frustrating. We arrived at kindy and had to turn around again as Rani wasn't feeling well. She came with me to the Choral Fanfare and ate everything in her lunch box and has been on and off the toilet ever since. Oh dear! Miss Mali mustn't be feeling well either. She's been crying since lunch time and doesn't want to eat. Very unusual indeed! So I think she's got the same bug. Just hope the other kids don't all get it as well.

Managed to finish a couple of lo's. I just love the photo of Rani in the first one all snug in her bed. The second one is Rani being Rani, lol.

GO FASTER

Just a quick post between pick-ups and drop-offs.

Winter seems to be on its way. We actually had to get the heater out! Went and got the kids some new flanalette jammies for winter on sale at Target today. It looked like everybody else had the same idea, it was so busy.

Finally finished this lo of Zazi and Mali which has been on my desk for a couple of days now.

We're off to see Oklahoma at the Empire Theatre tonight. Better get organized!

ANOTHER YEAR OLDER & WISER? LOL

It's my birthday today. I love having young kids in the house, they make birthdays what they should be all about - excitement and fun. The kids (that is minus one DD Annika who at 15 is way past birthdays,LOL) couldn't wait for me to get up and open my presents and cards that they had made for me. There was even a treasure hunt for me set up by DS Jake which was a thrill!

HAd lots of e-cards, e-mails and phone calls from friends. It's so lovely to be remembered.

My parents came up from Brisbane and we went out for lunch together which was just lovely especially because Rani and Mali were on their very best behaviour. Came home to a gorgeous pack of Crate pps from the ever so generous Jo and Rosy from 3ANGELS SCRAPPING. Go and check out their site, these girls rock! Some very talented scrappers on there.

My birthday dinner tonight was very quiet without DS Toby who went off on camp this morning. Isn't it amazing how having one away seems to make such a difference to the dynamics. Can't wait for him to come back on Friday.

I'm going to have an early night and catch up on some sleep. 

OMG!

Caught Mali looking like this. She had pushed a chair into the kitchen, climbed onto the bench, got a chocolate biscuit out of the packet, pushed the chair back to the table and then ate it to the last crumb hiding under the table. Her only downfall was that she forgot to clean up her face, lol. OMG, she's only 16 months old!

It's been an extremely busy but fun week. One of the highlights was the "Spoil Mum Day" at Rani's kindy on Tuesday. I was treated to a foot massage, a back and hand massage, followed by Rani painting my nails! Oh, they look FABULOUS!!! Not quite as bad as Jake's efforts when he was at kindy but pretty close, LOL. The kindy kids also baked some scones which were divine and sang some songs. It was such a lovely morning. 

GO GET 'EM

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums and grandmas out there. Hope you're all having a lovely day being spoilt. My big kids had to go on a compulsory fun run this morning which luckily didn't last too long. We had a scrumptious breakfast after that and while I'm typing this they are preparing a seafood luncheon. Yummo! Lucky me! Tonight it's Thai take-outs from our fav little Thai restaurant. I wish it was Mother's Day every day. To top off a good day, it's actually drizzling. Not a lot, but all is better than none!

Annika and Jake came home from the Queensland State Championships in Orienteering last night. Both with a medal!!! Woohoo! This was totally unexpected and we are soooo proud of them both. Jake won a silver medal in the U13 A division and Annika won Gold in the U16B division.

Last night I was having a look at some photos that I had taken a few weeks ago and hadn't had time to even look at yet! :(  I came across this one of Jake and I knew immediately what to do with it, the Bampop pps are just perfect. Jake loves it! It was fun doing something different and sadly I don't do enough boy's pages. Toby and Jake can vouch for this.

LONG WEEK-END SCRAPPING

Don't you just LOVE long week-ends?

Apparently yesterday we had the hottest day recorded for this time of year. It sure felt it watching the boys' soccer games. Both teams had wins. Yeah!

Andrew took the three big kids to an orienteering event this morning and I've been scrapping without too many interruptions since lunch time. I got a few los done and I can share a couple I did for the first ever VC at Three Angels Scrapping.

I love this photo of Andrew and Mali donning the same hat. I stamped the heart using a background script stamp and backstitched the heart on the journaling block.

This one isn't the best photo but I just love it. Rani was chasing Bella our cat with a big stick, wearing her insole rollerblade thingies and carrying her favourite pink CUTE bag. I stamped the date and the little birdie onto felt.

LOOK WHAT I GOT!!!

Look what I picked up on e-bay. Now to find the time to do some tutorials to learn how to use it! Any advice gratefully accepted.
